Welcome Letter
August 17, 2022
Dear Room 14 Families,
Welcome Back to School! My name is Dena O’Hara and I am very excited to be your child’s 3rd grade teacher for the 2022-2023 school year! I look forward to getting to know you and your child, providing engaging activities, and accomplishing many academic and social goals throughout the year. Thank you in advance for your active interest in your child’s education. We are in this together! I hope you all enjoyed your summer and are ready for a great 3rd grade year!
I will be sending home the Friday Folder on the first day of school. Please look through it carefully, sign, and return the folder. Please also return the emergency pack and the signed yellow sheet stating that you have looked through the online handbook as soon as possible. Here is the link to it:
MSJE Parent & Student Handbook 2022-2023
Your child’s safety and social-emotional well-being is my utmost priority. My goal is to create routines and expectations for students, so they can be successful and feel safe at school. Please reinforce and review the guidelines and safety protocols determined by FUSD and MSJE. Students with a positive test result, any COVID-19 symptoms, and/or a known exposure to someone with COVID-19 must follow our student flowchart before returning to campus. The flowchart is also included in the Mustang Folder.
To start off the year, I like parents and students to fill out this Google Form together to help me get to know your child better.
I am looking forward to meeting with all of you online at Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 30th at 7:45pm when I will be able to share about our third grade goals and policies in more detail! Until then, you can email me at dohara@fusdk12.net and I will do my best to respond within 24 hours during the week. If you would like to have anybody added to the email list, please let me know.
I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. O’Hara
